The current General Director of Y&V México, Susanna Volpe Totaro, graduated as a civil engineer from the Metropolitan University in Caracas and is a graduate of the IESA's Advanced Management Program.
During the almost 30 years that she has been in the company, she has held the positions of Project Director, Vice President of Special Projects, Contract Administration Manager, Director of Ecoprojects (Y&V group environmental consulting company), Project Manager, Project Coordinator and Project Engineer.
She says her biggest challenge was accepting the call to be part of the Y & V executive committee in the position of Vice President of Special Projects. Susanna was the first to move from an operational position to a strategic executive position; Today 35% of these positions in the Y&V organizational structure are occupied by women.
"This allowed me to show that with good preparation, working with integrity and commitment, gender is not a condition that prevents you from achieving the goals you set for yourself"
Susanna finds it difficult to choose just one project that she is very proud of.
“There would be many that I could mention, however, without hesitation, I can say that what fills me most with pride is the trajectory that Y&V has had, whose founding partners had the vision of becoming one of the first companies to execute EPC projects on a regional scale, with international recognition, avoiding and adapting to difficult situations in all areas ”.
Integrity, willingness to take on challenges and adaptation to constant change are Y & V's main values with which Susanna Volpe identifies.
“Y&V is a company that offers its people opportunities to grow and contribute to the achievements of the organization, always guided by solid principles of social responsibility”.
